DOT Physical $75
Getting to drive a semi-truck, school bus or other commercial motor vehicle (CMV) is pretty cool. To make sure drivers are healthy and able to drive these ‘rigs’ the Department of Transportation (DOT) is mandated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to obtain a DOT physical exam at least once every other year. This is a great safety check for the driver, your company and everyone else on the road.
A DOT physical provides drivers with a medical certificate to confirm that they are physically able to safely operate a CMV. In order to give the ‘green light’ we take a look at the following areas:
- Overall Physical Evaluation
- Vision & Hearing Test
FMCSA requires that DOT physicals be performed by a certified medical examiner (CME) listed on the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners.

DOT Drug Testing - $45
Any person operating a CMV, that requires a CDL, for intrastate or interstate commerce is required to participate in a DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program. This program drivers are a part of is called a consortium which randomly selects drivers from a pool to be drug and alcohol tested.
Owner-operators must also register with a consortium and participate in the random drug and alcohol testing pool. Ask us how to be part of our consortium!
